Pelligrini will be meeting his former Real Madrid players. Is it an advantage for him, having coached some of the players in his one year stint there. Pep Guardiola avoided meeting his new club. What a match up that would have been. Then it would have been more dramatic if ManCity knocks his present club out. That would be a good way for Pel to leave doubt in the mind of City owners. Simone has been able to transform Athletico into a competitive club, besting the best teams in the world. Is this his time to lift the trophy? He knows Pep as much as Pep knows him, so it will be an interesting game. Zidane is the new comer among the bunch, but he has lifted the trophy as a player. Will he lift it as a coach?
