DR JOE DISPENZA DEFINES INTENTION

SIMPLE PROBLEM SOLVING METHOD

IN PROBLEM SOLVING, MANY PEOPLE PICK THE FIRST SOLUTION THAT COMES TO

THEIR MIND AND GO AHEAD TO IMPLEMENT IT. THEY FAIL TO TAKE INTO ACCOUNT

THE FULL RANGE OF OTHER POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS. THE GREATER THE CHOICE OF

CREATIVE CONCEPTS THEY LOOK AT, THE BETTER THE CHANCE THERE IS TO FIND

AN ANSWER. IF YOUR FIRST IDEA FAILS TO SOLVE A PROBLEM, TRY ANOTHER ONE.

PROBLEM SOLVING WORKS BEST WITH THE FEWEST SELF IMPOSED OBSTACLES.

WHEN FACED WITH A PROBLEM, THE BEST APPROACH IS NOT TUNNEL THROUGH IT,

BUT TO  LOOK AT EVERY OPTION AVAILABLE.

NEW YEAR RESOLUTION GUIDE

NEW YEAR RESOLUTION GUIDE

It is that time of year again. Folks are going to be dishing out New Year resolutions like its food. Most times, these resolutions are never resolved. They end up as wishful thinking.

I want to give a little tip on how you can achieve your New Year Resolution. I will mostly be using the word goal and I will give you my reasons by giving a dictionary meaning of both.

Resolution.... the act of resolving or determining upon an action, course of action, method, procedure.

Goal.... the result or achievement towards which effort is directed; Aim; End

Goal is the end of your resolve. So your new year resolution should be more than a resolve, you should pursue it with a clear picture of the end in your mind.

There are so many factors involved before you can achieve your new year goals. I will only list a few and you can conduct more research to see what else you need to do to achieve results. The mere effort of saying it is not going to help you. But it is a step in the right direction. That’s Awareness, which is very important.

1, Intention; Intention is being clear about what you want. Clarity of purpose. What you intend to achieve.

2, Desire; Desire is to crave, want something. How much do you want it? Want is the prerequisite for achieving your goals. You have to want it enough, before you can get it.

3, Purpose; You have to have a definite purpose in order to achieve your goal. There must be a reason you want to achieve this goal. What is it?

4, Write it down. Always write down your goals or it will take wings and fly. You will forget it or the details. Place it where you can always see it to serve as a reminder.

5, Be You; Your goals should reflect what you want. Not what your spouse want. Not what your coworkers, friends, family want. Don’t do it because others are doing it. That’s Social Conformity. You want to belong. Nobody can be you more than you. If you become somebody else, Who's going be you?

6. Will; Will is ability to stay focused on what you want to achieve in spite of all contradictory thoughts or events. The power of choosing ones own actions.

7, Fear; do not be afraid to set your goals too high. Get excited about your goals. Don’t listen to naysayers. Wright brothers were bicycle mechanics, but they built an air plane. What do you think their neighbors were saying?

8, Believe; Reevaluate your belief. Believe in yourself. Believe in your Goals. Believe in your God given ability and capability to achieve your goal. Have the confidence and assume your goal already achieved.

9, Gratitude; Always be grateful. Show gratitude even when you have not achieved your goal. The power of gratitude cannot be quantified.

10, Add your own.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Aykes World: THE PROBLEM WITH NIGERIA IS ATTITUDE. PART 1

THE PROBLEM WITH NIGERIA IS ATTITUDE. PART 1

I HAVE BEEN LIVING IN U.S FOR OVER 8 YEARS NOW AND I HAVE BEEN STUDYING THE SYSTEM AND THE PEOPLE. AMERICA IS REALLY THE LAND OF DREAMS. WHERE DREAMS CAN BECOME REALITY.  A LOT OF QUESTIONS HAVE GONE THROUGH MY MIND AS I READ AND WATCHED THE LIFE OF THE RICH. THEN I WENT BACK TO READING SELF HELP BOOKS AND WATCHING MOTIVATIONAL VIDEOS ON YOUTUBE AND IT DAWNED ON ME THAT NIGERIA'S PROBLEM CAN BE SUMMARIZED WITH ONE WORD, ATTITUDE.
WITH THE RIGHT ATTITUDE NIGERIA CAN RANK AMONG THE GREAT NATIONS OF THE WORLD. OUR MUSIC, FILM AND SPORTS INDUSTRIES HAVE PROVED THAT WITH THE RIGHT ATTITUDE NIGERIA CAN GET IT RIGHT. BUT THERE IS THE PROBLEM OF OUR CHOICE OF LEADERS.
OUR LEADERS ARE NOT INSPIRING. THEY ARE TRIBALISTIC, NEPOTISTIC, BIGOTS, AUTOCRATIC, SELFISH AND CLUELESS. THEY HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO MOVE THE NATION FORWARD AND EVERY ELECTION YEAR THEY KEEP CONTESTING AND NIGERIANS ALLOW THEM TO MANIPULATE THEIR WAY BACK INTO GOVERNMENT.
I LEARNT FROM SOME OF THE MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKERS I READ AND LISTEN TO, THAT IF YOU KEEP DOING THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER AGAIN, NOTHING WILL CHANGE. WE HAVE BEEN MAKING THE SAME MISTAKE OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND EXPECT THINGS TO CHANGE. NOTHING WILL CHANGE.
WE NEED LEADERS WITH VISION. KING SOLOMON WROTE "MY PEOPLE PERISH FOR LACK OF VISION.
WE NEED TO CHANGE OUR ATTITUDE IN NIGERIA SO OUR DREAMS CAN BECOME REALITY. NIGERIANS HAVE DREAMS, BUT THE DREAMS DIE WITH THE DAY LIGHT, THEY PURSUE THEIR DAILY NEEDS INSTEAD OF PURSUING THEIR DREAMS. NOBODY THINKS. AND WHEN THEN THEY DO THINK, THEIR THOUGHTS ARE FULL OF EVIL. GET RICH QUICK SCHEMES WHICH INVOLVES FRAUD OR CRIMINAL ACTIVITIES. IF ONLY WE CAN CHANNEL ALL THAT ENERGY POSITIVELY.
CHANGE OUR ATTITUDE AND WE WILL BE AWED BY HOW FAST OUR WORLD CAN CHANGE.

ANOTHER ELECTION IN NIGERIA

2019 IS FAST APPROACHING AND NIGERIANS ARE BRACING FOR ANOTHER DANGEROUS ERA OF ASSASSINATION, POLITICAL CLASHES AND SHIP JUMPING. PRESIDENT BUHARI HAS NOT REALLY ACHIEVED THE CHANGE HE PROMISED. EARLY INCURSIONS AND SECURITY GAINS AGAINST BOKO HARAM HAS DISAPPEARED. MEANWHILE THE OPPOSITION DOES NOT SEEM LIKE THEY ARE READY OR PREPARED IN ANY WAY. IT WILL REALLY BE BAD FOR NIGERIANS IF BUHARI WINS ANOTHER TERM. THE MAN IS CLUELESS. NIGERIANS HAS TO VOTE WITH THEIR CONSCIENCE AND NOT THEIR STOMACH. NIGERIANS DESERVE BETTER. IT IS HIGH TIME THEY VOTE A TECHNOCRAT. GO AND GET YOUR PVC. NIGERIANS.

Hatred and Division in USA

This is a typical example of the height of things in United States of America now. Is it due to the election or has it since been there?  Which ever it is, it

Have you killed a lion?

Recently at work, a colleague asked me what is the most stupid question I have been asked as an African. I told her its when people ask me if I have ever killed a lion. It's the year 2016 and internet is so full of any and every information you need and Americans still ask that kind of question. Anyway back to my story.
To my greatest shock, this colleague of mine asked me "But have you killed a lion?"
Seriously!, she just asked what is the most stupid question I have been asked and she turned around and asked the same question.  That's stupid.

Donald Trumps antics

I have been watching this campaign with keen interest, especially Trumps antics. I am 100% pro Hillary, but it is hard not to watch or listen to what new antics or abusive languages coming from the Trump camp. Some time ago we were made to believe that once he wins the republican nomination, he will become more Presidential in both words and actions. Instead he has gotten worse.
Crooked Hillary, Lyin Ted were words we heard every day from him during the primaries.
Now is he becoming racist? Recently he alleged that the Judge who is handling a case about Trump university will not give him a fair hearing because of his "Mexican heritage"
This has been criticized by almost all Republicans even the Speaker of the House Paul Ryan called it "the textbook definition of a racist comment" Senator Graham said "I think what he said about the judge was racist" Romney said the language could lead to "trickle down racism"
All the uproar about the judge was fazing out when trump came up with another word which he had actually used before to describe senator Elizabeth warren. He called her "Pocahontas" "the Indian" These is scary coming from a potential President of the United States. It will be a massive job for his aids to contain him if he ever becomes president. As it is, the republicans have lost control of the man and all they can do is watch from the sidelines as he makes or mars their chances of winning back the presidency. I don't envy their position. they will be pinching themselves, asking how they ended up with this man, Trump, because everyday they will be on the defensive, defending what Trump said or actions he took throughout the campaign trail.
Everyday Hillary is getting endorsements while his republican party members are busy chastising him. His antics might have worked for him during the primaries, but this is a larger playing field and he is giving the democrats an easy ride to the presidency. Ride on Trump. Come up with new words, keep up the attacks.

Golden State Warriors will win this tournament

I like basketball, but only when I watch clips of fantastic plays. I have never really watched a full game of basketball, but I understand the game. I don't have the patience to sit through all the breaks in American sports and commercials too. It makes it boring for me.
The longest I have ever watched a game was when Dallas Mavericks won the championship or what ever it is called. I watched all of the last quarter.
I have not watched up to two minutes of the present final between Cleveland and Golden state warriors but I have always looked at the result in the morning when I wake up to prepare for work. When Cleveland won 120-90, I felt we will see a game seven but I don't think so now, Golden state will win by 4-2. I love Lebron James and I respect what he has done for the game, but one man cannot win the game for a team. The whole team has to have almost the same level of energy and determination for them to win and that is what Golden state has going for them. If their main player Steve Curry is not playing well, Klay Thompson will pick up or Iguodalo will come from the bench and have a fantastic game. They have the mindset of winners and it is pushing them on. The OKC games is a testament to this and that spirit is still there. In my mind I want Cleveland to win the finals but Golden state will win it.

Niger Delta Avengers

Recently a new faceless militant group emerged from the South South part of Nigeria which calls itself the Niger Delta Avengers. This group has been bombing pipelines of major oil companies in the country, especially, Shell, AGIP, Chevron and other multinational companies in the Niger Delta area of Nigeria. This has really affected the resources of these companies and the country as well. The group said their main target is to stop western companies from buying Nigerian oil, and to secede from the country and for the world to see what is happening in the oil producing areas of the country.
My Take; Assuming they get the self determination they are asking for, who will develop the oil in their land? These same companies they are disrupting their operations definitely. Will there be any change or improvement? No. Unless they tackle their elders who have been receiving money from these companies for a long time and kept quiet. Their people are their problem. They should look within, cause these same people are going to continue to collect money from these corporations and keep quiet while the land is being destroyed.
Now comes the question of how these militants get their money. A few years back when the Nigeria military dislodged MEND and the rest of the militants, we read in the news that a book of records was discovered that had the names of sponsors and beneficiaries of those groups. Was anyone prosecuted after that? No. That is the Nigerian story, instead the militants were granted government amnesty after all the atrocities they committed. If the sponsors had been prosecuted, do you think we will be having a problem with the so called Avengers now?
In the typical Nigeria characteristics, somebody is making huge gains from what avengers are doing right now. That's who the security agencies should be looking for. How does Avengers get their money and weapons if they are not involved in kidnapping or armed robbery? They have a sponsor or sponsors. Find these sponsors, find avengers. Avengers are mere foot soldiers carrying out instructions. Cut of the head and the body will die.
The idea of a foreign group sponsoring them should not be overlooked. Because as far as the avengers continue to cause these disruptions in the oil industry, prices will be rising globally and a lot of people will gain from that.

Hillary Clinton has won at last.

Even though counts are still going on in California, all indicators points to Hillary Clinton being the democratic party presidential nominee, thereby being the first woman to do so. At least the U.S. is catching up to the rest of the world in equality issue. She has fought a great fight. She has won, but Benny Sanders should not be forgotten. He made it more interesting. Nobody gave him any chance but he stuck to his philosophy and belief and continued to fight. Seriously, I think Bennie knew he will not win, but giving Clinton a fight is the beauty of democracy.
Now that it is all over, democrats have to come together and decide on the way forward. They have to convince Bennie to bring his supporters to the fray. They have to carry everyone along. On Thursday, Bennie Sanders will meet with President Obama, I hope the president understand the importance of making this point to Bennie. The democratic party has to come together, that is the only way they can beat that comic, Trump.

Is Nigeria turning into a dictatorship?

There has been a lot of arrests going on in Nigeria since our self righteous President Muhammadu Buhari came into government. A lot of them for a good cause. But it is worrying how these arrests are being carried out by agents of the government EFCC or DSS.  Another worrying part is the disobedience of court order. Then how come it is mostly members of the opposition parties that are mostly indicted, especially the very loud ones. But the most worrying side of it is how the president remains quiet in the mist of all these court order violations. My point, is that investors use these as criteria to know a safe country to invest in and with these actions, is it safe to invest in Nigeria, right now? This government should should look at all aspect of the consequences of their actions, because Nigerians are not blind to all this. Already from every indicators and mathematics APC will not win in 2019, but they should not make it easy for the opposition.

IS NIGERIA BECOMING A FAILED STATE?

News coming out of Nigeria does not look good. It is becoming obvious that the APC led government does not have a clear roadmap and strategy after one year of governance. Things have gone from bad to worse. Rich and poor are crying. Both local and foreign investors are running scared. The government has not been consistent with any monetary policy except that they will not devalue the naira and peged it at N197 to the dollar. But the effects of these policies are beginning to tell. Recently Central bank of Nigeria said it will stop its 15 months old peg of the naira to the dollar which definitely overvalued the currency. They will now adopt a new flexible monetary policy, and will issue guidelines at the appropriate time. This has got investors scared. The result will be speculation and that's not a good thing for the economy which has taken a lot of battering.
With the present monetary policy, Nigeria is owing airlines over $591m and cannot repatriate the money, because they can't. Why? One is made to ask. During Jonathan's government the country did not have these problems.
Iberia airlines has stopped the Nigerian route, United airlines will follow on June 30th, Lufthansa and British airways are studying the situation.
This is not good for the country and what is the government doing about it? Nobody knows. Not even the government, by the look of things. Their solution is to arrest opposition members and pave way for the return of APC in 2019.

Conversation with a thief (Season 1 episode 1)

I am not going to reveal where this conversation took place, but it was for real.
"What will you do when you come out from prison?" I asked the young man.
"I will go back to stealing, that's all I know how to do"
"Why don't you learn a skill now that you are here?" I asked. "The state provides it for free"
"No that won't give me enough. Do you know I can make your salary on a good day?"
"But on a bad day you will be caught" I said.
"It doesn't happen often. Do you know how many times I have stolen before I was caught?"
"No"
"Over 30 times"
"And did you make money in all of them?"
"No. But can you guess the highest amount I have made?"
"No"
"Try a guess"
"Ok. $500"
He smiled. "No, $9000. I found it in an empty apartment"
"How long did the money last for you?"
"Close to a month"
"And after that what did you do"
"I went back to stealing"
"And you were caught"
"Yes"
"Does that not teach you something?"
"No. The punishment is light compared to the crime"
"How many years do you have?"
"9 years"
I was shocked. 9 years in prison and somebody thinks it's nothing.
"How old are you?"
"23 years"
"Long have you been here?"
"5 years"
Still shocked.
I will stop here to come out of my shock. I will continue this conversation to show where it leads to.

Football season is getting to an end. So what's next?

Finally Leicester lifted the English premier league title. Harry Kane topped the league with 25 goals, but it was the players from Leicester that caught the eye. James Vardy, Megharez, Morgan the captain and Ngolo Kante, the most wanted defensive midfielder in the Premiership. Another news that made headlines was St Totteringham Day. How Tottenham almost, I say almost clinched the title but they started tottering to the extent that on the final day they only needed a point to come second and end the season above Arsenal for the first time in 21 years, but they collapsed at Newcastle, losing 5 - 1 to a ten man team. At least arsenal fans has something to celebrate.
Barcelona made the great escape and lifted the La liga, after stuttering for about two or three games. And for once we don't get to talk about Messi or Ronaldo, but Luis Suarez. Yes Suarez, the biter. He out scored everybody, notching in 40 la liga goals. To think that Wenger had opportunity to buy him. but could only price him at 4000,001 pounds was a joke. Zidane won 21 games, drew 3 and lost 2. Good record for a first timer who took over when the team looked like they were not doing well.  Ligue 1 was since won by PSG with Ibrahimovich scoring 38 Ligue 1 goals. Respect to him. Now he is leaving unless they replace the Eiffel tower with his statue. There is a rumour he might end up in Arsenal. Hopefully.
Juventus won Seria A but Gonzalo Higuian made headlines after breaking Gunnar Nordahl's 66 year old record of 35 goals. He scored a hat-trick on the last day to take his tally to 36 making him the highest goal scorer in Italy. Another news of note is Klose, yes Klose. The world cup goals record holder, who is the most capped German player at 137 that saw him appear in four world cups. At 38 years of age, he made his 139th appearance for Lazio capping it with his 54th goal for the club. Respect to him.
Bundesliga was easily won by Bayern although Dortmund made a spirited effort to catch them. Lewandoski was the highest goal scorer with 30 goals. Some of the main headline news was Matts Hummel voicing his willingness to move to Bayern before the season was over and signing a deal with them before his last match. Long time ago Pep Guardiola also said he was leaving Bayern and heading to the Premiership. this caused a little furore in England as top managers became fearful for their position. he was accused of causing confusion and taking undue advantage. Well it's no longer news that he has signed a deal with Mancity.
Now that it is almost over, with the Europa cup on Wednesday 18th May 2016 and champions league on 28th May to cap a dramatic window, what's next for the clubs and players? Euro 2016 is also around the corner.
Transfer news of course. I will keep you posted on who is going where and who is staying.

Corporate Fraud in United States

Corporate fraud in United States is very common. By this I mean when big companies treats a customer in the wrong way and you won't know who to talk to or how to go about getting compensation. I have experienced it with ATT drop calls and still being charged for those calls. Moving my phone upgrade several months forward when I should have paid up for the phone.
In April I bought  six tickets from Spirit airline to come back to Dallas from Chicago. On that day I got several emails from the company saying the 7.57pm flight was delayed and as at 7.54pm I got the last one saying the flight has been moved to 8.46pm. Okay, I and my sisters decided to chill. Around 8.26 I decided to go and ask the desk ladies what time we will start boarding and they told me the plane left at 8.25pm and the board behind them showed the plane left at the time. I was livid with anger, as there was no announcement to announce boarding. As at 8.15pm, they were still issuing boarding pass to passengers. Around 8.50pm, I got another email from them that the plane left at 8.20pm, contradicting the display board time that showed 8.25. They started refunding or rescheduling passengers to 9.15am flight. Because I had my wife , two sisters and two children with me I bought another ticket from United airlines. The spirit airline staff assured me I can get my refund from Dallas office. The rest of the story is history. after series of calls and emails they gave me a voucher for future travel to be used before June 16th.
Recently, I made a couple of bucks through my blog and I was excited. I had told a lot of my friends about my blog and they were excited too. Then I woke up on morning, opened my email and there was an no reply email from Google claiming that I was clicking on my own ads and there goes my money. All the sleepless nights and efforts gone. and who do I report to? Nobody.
The government should look into all these little frauds and find a way to protect the average person because when you add all the money involved in these frauds and multiply it by the millions of people going through these on a daily basis, these companies are making millions

"Fantastically Corrupt"

The above adjectives is the way British Prime Minister, David Cameron described my beloved country Nigeria, "Fantastically Corrupt" This caused an outrage in Nigeria. It got me wondering, what is actually wrong with the statement? Who are the people outraged? Is it because he used the word "fantastically"? Are we not Corrupt? Nigeria is corrupt, simple. If not, how do we describe the actions of people like Dasuki, Ohakim, Deziani, Udenwa, Haruna, Nenadi Usman, and the rest of them that I did not mention or I won't have any space to finish this article, who took billions of Naira that was meant for other projects. How do you describe when a top government officials takes money from Central Bank and give it out like it is his personal money? How do you describe the country that has an outfit like NIMASA where billions of Naira were paid for projects that does not exist?
These people that are outraged are the same people that are involved in these acts. If they don't want the country to be labeled corrupt, then how do we describe the country where Customs and Immigration officers at the international airport will stand right in the mist of everybody and tell a traveler that the food items he is carrying out of the country will be quarantined. They do everything possible to delay and frustrate the traveler, but once you produce a couple of Naira notes, the food items will be let through. How do we describe a country where Police Inspector General said that renewing tinted glass license is free, yet Nigerians are made to pay N25000 by the police for renewal. I don't even want to go into police extortion on the roads or bailing somebody at the police stations. The list is endless.
President Buhari is doing a good job fighting corrupt, but the country has not yet reached that stage where the corruption tag can be removed. So he should not be "embarrassed" as his press secretary said.
